The Gait Scan allows the
practitioner to assess a patient's foot posture accurately in the following ways:
The Static Scan can measure relative pressure
loads for the right and left foot, large differentials in % may indicate a leg
length disparity. Different colours on the scan indicate different levels of
contact of the foot with the scan plate.
The Dynamic Scan illustrates the flow of pressure
over the full length of the step and is recorded at a rate of 300 frames
a second and will indicate, overpronation, oversupination, pes planus and other
potential foot dysfunction.
The Squat Scan enables the practitioner to
observe excessive rotation of the lower limbs, abnormal tracking of the patella
and overpronation or oversupination of the subtalar joint as the knees bend.
The scans can be viewed in 2D, 3D and Syncro views.
